Cody and Camille
I really wanted to write about this wedding, as it was the wedding of our friend and fellow 5ive15ifteen photographer Cody Greco! However, I was not there, so I sat down with the photographers. They dictated the whole day to me in beautiful detail, so this post is from their perspective.
It was one of those beautiful summer days where you are reminded how great it is to be alive. You know what I’m talking about, those days where the sun is out, there isn’t a cloud in the sky, and you’re off to do something really exciting. That’s how our two photographers felt driving to Mill Croft Inn on Cody and Camille’s wedding day.
The wedding was intimate, only about 50 guests. The couple did exactly what they wanted, no alterations, no compromises - they had the day the pictured.
Camille began her day getting ready with her mother and her maid of honour at the Mill Croft Inn. The morning was beautiful and calm, bathed in soft light perfect for getting ready photos. Cody’s day began with his family and hanging out with his very cute dog - pictured below!
After some beautiful portraits of the bride, everyone headed towards the ceremony. There was only one slight hitch - the pastor had to have emergency dental surgery! Luckily, he was able to find someone else to complete the ceremony. I have to admit, I definitely cried looking at these photos. The first look coming down the aisle was so beautiful. We captured Cody’s face right as he saw Camille for the first time - and let me tell you, it is one of the most genuine and happy faces I have ever seen.
The ceremony was outdoors in a private little grove. The two stood under a leafy arbour, decorated with white florals. It was beautiful, quick, and very hot!
After the ceremony, the photographers stole the newlyweds away for our favourite part of the day - couples photos! The sun shone through the willow trees, creating beautiful light to capture the two newlyweds. Mill Croft Inn has a lot of beautiful and natural aspects, and anywhere you went you could hear the waterfall. Cody and Camille braved the mosquitos to get some beautiful portraits.
After some family photos, everyone went into the reception space for a wonderful dinner, including candied bacon, which was made very clear to me how amazing it was. I almost want to go to Mill Croft Inn just so I can try it…
The couple disappeared with the photographers for a little while to take some evening pictures. The sun set slowly through the mist over the water, creating a beautiful setting. Also - just a quick shout out to Camille’s maid of honour for being a super hero all day, constantly being there for anything Camille might need. We all need a friend like that in our lives.
The evening ended with a lot of dancing. You could really feel the love in that room, not only that which Cody and Camille had for each other, but also the love that everyone else shared.
Overall, this wedding was beautifully shot, and creates a perfect scope of what a great day it was. We felt very honoured to be a part of Cody and Camille’s wedding. We wish the couple all the happiness in the world!
